Help with ducted air con vents

we have just installed ducted air con floor vents just to realise how bad the grills look in contrast to the timber flooring. The air con guys installed Beidge colour grills as a default but they will be returning to change the grills. Would really appreciate some advice on what colour floor vent grills we should get so the contrast between them, the timber flooring and white walls won't be as noticeable.

I've noticed some wooden looking ones online and also some that have grills with patterns

I would get wood look or dark brown.

You can get wood metal vent covers that sit flush in your floor.

Wood ones for sure .I don’t see any reason to bring attention to them at all.

I always use brown on floors, white on walls, nickel on tile. If you can find wood ones that match the tone of your floors, that would probably be even better. Measure the current registers, as there are a variety of sizes. A web search will find you a variety of online options if your HVAC guys don't have anything fancy.

I always match them to the wall or floor they sit in. You can paint most of them.

Based on the architectural details of the home I would get decorative steel floor registers, which feel true to the era of your home. Signature Hardware has a lot of pattern options and finishes to choose from. I think an antique copper or antique brass would blend quite well with your floor while also adding a touch of detail that your home is accustomed to.
