Steam Function on GE Dryer GTD84ECSNWS

The manual says there are two settings you need to set in order to use steam...dryer set to High and the water has to be on. Check and check. The t-valve that my husband installed (per GE instruction manual) does not have a on/off valve that goes from the washer line to the dryer (for steam), so water is always available for the dryer's steam option. The dryer is set to "high". I pressed the Select option under Steam Cycles" to select either Dewrinkle or Refresh, I get nothing but a disappointing buzz (as in that option isn't an option). Can someone please help?

I've tried changing cycles in case there are cycles that won't work with steam. Nothing seems to work. Again, the dryer IS set to high temp and the water is on.
