Hey all,

So I renovated my basement with very light grey (with cream undertone) wood-like tile flooring. I had a plan to do the walls BM White Dove (Eggshell) with Super White for ceiling (flat), trim and doors (semi-gloss). From pictures, I really liked how the White DoVE had just enough of a cream (but not too yellow creamy) undertone to give that “editable” (only way I can describe it) look to the walls with a little contrast with the trims.

However, when I went to get sample cans, the designer at the store said White Dove was more for trims and she threw me off. She recommended something more grey that looks a little too dark and too similar to my wall colors in my upstairs area. I feel like I should stick to my gut especially after painting it on sample board and still loving it. I’m even thinking about doing the trims and doors in White Dove possibly as well and allowing the sheen to give a little contrast.

Paint has been without a doubt the hardest part here and I wanted to get other people’s thoughts since this site has always been Immensely helpful.
