Nice Praying Hands everyone! I think the trick to getting a good photo of that one is to not have much going on around it or it blends in too easily. ..... until they grow as big as Peren's and then they stand out. Wow!

Beverly. - there is no following your Pandora’s box. Wow! I was going to post mine, but what’s the point? Did that start as one plant?

Beverly, Pandora’s Box is supposed to be hard to grow! Wow!

Yes this plant started as a $9 single plant, an impulse buy. It was so cute. I planted it under a tree for a few years and it grew. I then dug and divided into three little pieces. The tree was old and started loosing large branches so just 2 years later, it had to go. So, before the tree people came, I dug out the three pieces but didn't do a good job. It came apart into a bunch of small pieces - 17 or so. Anyway 17 is what I have there now. I have taken out some here or there for other projects/ give away but my plan is to just leave it there under this much younger tree. They can grow old together.

That Pandora's box is out of this world. No one on this planet can grow it that well. Where are you really from?

Party Popper has been in my cart before but never made it home. It will be interesting to see it grow up.

The P's on this thread are outstanding. I will add just a few.

I've had this Paradigm for a long time, but it didn't grow well. So I moved it a year ago and now I understand why it was Hosta of the Year in 2007. I love the coloration and the texture.

A young Paradise Island. Just had to plop down the pot and finally take a picture!

I pulled out this plantaginea which is in a spin out bag. I was checking for invading roots.

Paul's Glory. One of my favorites---good substance, good color, pretty for the whole season.

Newhostalady, Paradigm is one of my favs. It was in the shade in my garden and I loved its coloring. Then the big tree branch fell, taking about half of its shade turning into two colors on one plant. It actually does well in the sun. The shade colors are darker and the subside is brighter as would be expected.

Pauls Glory is lovely. I thought I had one but is was IDd by the forum as a Gold Standard. Love the color on that Prairie Moon!

The veining on that plantaginea looks wonderful!

djacobz---paradigm has a white flower while gold std has a pale lavender.. This may help you decide . It looks like the flower is white, but only you can tell. If you can look closely at your pictures.

Shadow, my paradigm has a white flower. I thought I had a Pauls Glory. The tag said it, but when I posted some pictures on the forum, people thought myPG was a Gold standard. After looking at pictures here of PG, I am inclined to agree. My leaf shape appears wrong.

djacobz, I can understand why Paradigm is one of your favorites. It is really amazing to see the color change on a hosta when one half of it receives more sun than the other. I had that happen with my June Fever when an adjacent plant grew and partically covered some of it.

Do try to get a Paul's Glory sometime djacobz. I think you will like it. Your Gold Standard is pretty! It's an oldie but a goodie! I just got one last year.

Oursteelers, looking at the photo of my plantaginea, I would say that the picture was taken just at the right time to catch the hosta veining and shine. I had a look to see what time the picture was taken. It was in June at about 7:30 p.m. I think I picked up some of the remaining sunlight.

Paren.all, so nice to see your Powder Blue. My DH bought a small, single eye 2 years ago and I wonder where it should go. It clearly has to move - how big is yours?

The Prarie Skies - all of them - fabulous. I remember seeing one on a tour and running over to look at it; the blue stood out in the morning sun. I forgot all about it until now. I haven't made a list in years but I think I will this year.

Beverly the size listed in the HL is 28"x39" and I would say the height is about that but mine is perhaps somewhat wider than 39". I was impressed by it's growth rate since some blues are quite slow. I will make a point to measure it this year. It gets sun until at least 3:00.

I was happy to see a few others in the Alphabet this year. It is a tremendous plant and I am glad you have it.
