Help! What do I put in this corner?

Hello! I need some help. I work in a professional office building and I have been given the task of what to put in this weird corner we have in our hallway. Anything I put there does not please the bosses, they do not like it. They want it to look professional but told me it cannot be greenery. I have attached pictures of the vibe that our building has its modern, sleek, and minimal. I also have a pic of what I put in the corner that they did not like. Help! I am out of ideas!

I’d do a sculpture (or sculpture set). Simple, but elegant, sophisticated, and professional.

I like the metal wall art, but the lanterns seem like too much (and a different feel). Maybe keep it simple? Or find an asbstract scuplture that can sit on the shelf and nothing on the wall.

So they just get to say NO, but have no viable alternatives? Nice position if you can get it.

Your selections for the niche are a bit too residential, like for your house. Not appropriate for a corporation. Sculpture would be the right thing for the niche, but that selection is very subjective. Have to get anyone to agree.

Art is hung too high and in this room, the image should only be about 3" apart.

I moved the three seats to the left & lowered the art & added the orchids.

One reason art is hung higher in offices than residential, is to be out of the way of chairs being pushed back, temporary tables/other needing to be in a room, etc. That may not be the case here, but it was in offices I used to decorate for clients.

I bet they want something formal and corporate, not friendly or pretty. Think IBM. If there's a pricey office furniture shop nearby, take a look at their sculptures. It should not read cheap, so get a budget from the bosses. It should also stand up to being bumped lightly by passers by.
