I think the general wisdom is that they're great, expensive, and last for 5-8 years. My sister replaced hers with a filtered cold water tap because they didn't use the hot often. Use the search box at the top of the page to find reviews.

If you’re trying to match it to your other faucet(s) then options narrow. Waterstone is lovely and expensive. Newport Brass (Brasstech) is more affordable. The big three (Kohler, Delta, and Moen) didn’t have much last I looked. My tanks never lasted past 3 years, plumber said that was average in his experience. So I didn’t install one on this recent remodel.

Is this reverse osmosis? I do not have the hot and cold tap, just RO. I didn’t like the insinkerator faucet either. I found a nice one that I like... Delta. Very few faucets are RO compatible. The Delta doesn’t perfectly match the other faucets in my kitchen but looks pretty good.

insinkerator...they dont last that long.. i would recommend a licensed professional to install it

We recently installed a Ready Hot one after reading the middling reviews of the in sink erator. We installed on top of the RO system we already had to add the instant hot. My husband is a tea drinker and we all like having that hot water on hand. So far very satisfied (it’s been about 2 months, used daily).

If you’re asking me, our cold is filtered through the reverse osmosis system that we already had.

We have some kind of cartridge on it that supposedly lessens the effect on fixtures (and improves the flavor of the water). We have a well, and test the water annually, the RO is not optional. But like anything else its impacts can be mitigated.
