You will need to talk to a fireplace shop to see what is doable in your budget the big item of course is the venting . Do you need the heat or is this more for looks ? The budget will drive choices here so that come into play.. The chimney you show serves the main loor FP so can maybe be used for the new one . I would just do a nice electric FP that also heats and be done but it depends on budget and need .You do not show the wall on the outside where the stove vents so only guessing about the chimney

Thanks I met with a fireplace store and he is going to give me some ideas too. I do want it for heat and we would like gas. We are eventually doing a gas insert on main floor above as well.

Are you removing all the exterior brick going up the outside of the home?
