You have a lovely home with a nice amount of space in the entry. You've also got a tricky situation there, since the door swing takes up a third of your wall. Normally it would be preferable to center a table on the wall. But centering and avoiding the door would make for an oddly small table. So here's the approach I would think about:

Get a half-moon wood console table in the simple farmhouse style you like. Use a half-moon so that it's more gentle visually as you walk in the door to the right. The width should fit comfortably on the left two-thirds of the all. Ideally it's the same height as the wainscoting. If not, then shorter as opposed to taller. Paint the table white to match the wainscoting so the off-centered-ness of it isn't shouting at you. If you don't want a white top to the table, it could be a wood grain or painted with the stain or color taken from the wall, floor or bench colors.

Here's the kicker. I would add two or four pictures or art pieces above the wainscoting that are hung symmetrically on the wall. Whether in a row or grid pattern would depend on what art or frame sizes you choose. The left half would be associated with the console table as one vignette. The right half art pieces would maintain the symmetry of the top half of the wall.

Everything looks really black and white and gray in your photo. So it is really impossible for me to give advice. What colors do you like?

I was thinking of being in some color with rugs. The walls are SW agreeable gray. The tile is lighter than pic shows. I wanted to keep the table a wood tone or neutral.
