Southwind Equity Plank

Has anyone ever purchased Southwind Equity Plank flooring? We really like the sample, and the price, but I haven't been able to find any information on it. Its only carried at one retailer in the area, no one else has ever heard of it. The only pictures I have been able to find are of the sample, not an actual room with installed flooring.

Has anyone seen this? Or even heard of it?

i am going to buy southwind authentic plank in a greyish color this spring. i did a lor of research and was satisfied. they are commercial grade so huge wear layer (i think mine was 20) and very realistic looking. some of the varieties had a real high repeat number and even the repeats are shifted on the boards. i ended up being satisfied that the quality was there. Not sure if equality plank is as good. in the showroom this brand stood out. southwindcarpet.com has the info your looking for. like many of these companies they make carpet too. i posted the same question about my choice here and never got any responses. however my showroom had huge sections (20ish planks) laid down on the floor of southwind and other brands and the southwind authentic plank blew them away in realness

No. I am having carpet installed in another area (play area for kids) so im having the carpet people install both- and same thing, in my area these were the only people carrying southwind. They also were the only ones carrying the premium carpet we selected. i was also leery but i was able to see the one i want laid down on a floor and its awesome. authentic plank might be different than the equality plank, but... i feel good about the company for what its worth. im not sure if this is from installer or southwind but its guaranteed for life even in commercial settings so must be tough stuff. Im a mom of 4, 4 and under. I dont want to do anything myself lol.

That's why I am reluctant to go with this brand. No one has ever heard of it.

The line you are looking at is thicker than the equity plank. They look really nice, but I am especially concerned about installation. My husband will be doing it and I don't want to pick out something that's impossible to install. I am going to call today and see how expensive it will be to order one box for a trial.

let me know how you make out. My carpet store has sold this to other people, not just me lol, so they do have customers out there, somewhere

hey i just went back to website and if you go to the homepage, dropdown menu at top left, under ”installation specs” is a video showing how to install and it actually looks pretty easy.

Southwind is mostly known at east coast through showroom flooring dealers. They are priced well for quality. https://youtu.be/pe1WbI_RxWk
