Kitchen Help! (New Experience!)

After speaking with many and searching ideas, the kitchen layout has come down to the opinion of the cabinetry company (very nice people!). Recommend all "large/tall" cabinetry together(?). I fear the look appears a "wall of technology"(?). Is there any credence to "framing" the kitchen with appliances? And, I have read many issues with fridge near double oven(?). #1 is layout as provided; #2 is layout (paper-doll version) moved pantry between refrig and double oven; and #3 is layout (paper-doll version (I know - off the rails!)) moved double oven to end. Is there better/best or just preference? Input welcome! :)

I like the first plan. I would move the range and hood down, and center the prep sink on the island top:

The original layout has a lot of positive elements to it. The only things I see that would help tweek the look is making the pantry and oven cabinets 26" deep and pulling the refrigerator forward (is it a counter depth?) that allows your 25.5" deep counter top a place to dive into and not sit proud of the oven cabinet. I'd also flush the toe on the oven and pantry and dress it up with furniture toe molding (which you'll be using on the island) gives it more of a furniture quality.

The two wall cabinets on either side of the hood should sit away from the hood by 3" and I'm sure it's just the program you're using but obviously the wood hood is positioned much too low. Pictures usually indicate a person's expectations which is the only reason I mention it.

Today's ovens are well insulated so having the oven cabinet next to the frig shouldn't be cause of concern. If you're getting a 30" wide oven make sure the cabinet is 33". Depending on the cabinet line you ware working with if it's possible to have the tall pantry upper doors match the upper doors of the wall oven I think you'll like the symmetry better.

And, again, just an opinion the idea of the ovens to the right of the D/W is just too tight and it's too bulky. I hope this helps and good luck with your project.

Blubird, you are, imho absolutely right about drawers on the bottom cabinets. Everything accessible, no bending down to find something in the very back. Best decision I made in my kitchen.

Drawers for base cabinets for sure , I do not like wall ovens right next to fridges or sinks directly opposite cooking surface IMO if you want a prep sink put it closer to the fridge .

If you flank the refrigerator with pantries the ovens could be separated from the refrigerator. I recall a post from a few years back that mentioned that their refrigerator door was dented when someone flung it open while the oven door was down. I did something similar to this photo so that I could have a separate pantry for all of my baking pans and supplies. It took a few more inches because of the cabinet sides but helps me to stay more organized.

Use mostly drawers in lower cabinets....with HEAVY-DUTY FULL-EXTENSION HARDWARE. Deeper bottom drawers for pots and pans and large mixing bowls.

You need a "landing area" for both the fridge and the oven. Best not to make this on the island for oven because you might not see someone behind you. The island is a good spot to place groceries to sort before putting into fridge. I like the pantry on the left end next to it where you can select either it or the fridge to place groceries. My choice for the oven would be the right side away from the fridge. Heat escapes every time you open the oven door. That will make your fridge run harder.
