Thanks Missi, I went back and edited the comments to add the info. I think I like the Durango better. Starboard is nice but it looks more modern and not as neutral.

Missi - I think that I'm the only responder who likes #1 and 3. See my original response(one of the first four).

#2 is my choice, not a pro but how tall are your ceilings? I like the darker if the ceilings are somewhat higher.

The shots of the floor installed reaffirm my original choices. Either would be great as classic choices. The best one is still somewhat dependent on your personal style and what is going on in the rest of the house. #4 is more casual.

Just standard height ceilings...8 ft I think? We’re pretty casual. Husband likes rustic-y things.

my Vote is the first one of these with the trim.

I was actually thinking it's pretty rustic, so if that's what your husband likes and you're good with it, I still vote for Durango. Kind of exciting, Missi. New flooring is always a huge factor in a transformation, and I love a good before and after. : )

I like 2 & 4 best. Something to keep in mind is that medium tones tend to hide dirt better, which with hard flooring is a big plus because you'll have dirt and dust on it again within an hour of cleaning if your family is anything like mine!

#2 was ordered today, supposed to be in Tuesday. Only ordered enough to do the pantry b/c there's a lot yet to be done in the rest of the house before we can get to the flooring there. I'm still antsy about it, but nothing I can do now ha. Now I have to figure out counters, if doing same in both rooms or different, back splash in the kitchen, cabinet hardware..I'll post another thread at some point for those things as well.

Jan, in those four pictures, the piece of wood on the right is what the trim will be.

Windows and baseboards and casing and more? ............That is what I asked. I'd do white trim and wood stained doors with white casings. Just saying. jmho.

Didn‘t think about the trim until I’d gone to bed that night, so I posted when I got up. I would prefer white trim, but my husband wants stained. The doors will be that color as well, at some point. The window trim will be changed down the road.

I don't think those wood stain colors go together- the trim and the floors you picked out. Sorry. If you haven't done the trim yet and that's down the road, I'd save that decision for when everything else is in place. If he insists on stain at that point, then pick a shade that coordinates with your floors.

I agree. The wood trim and wood floor are not a good match. Sorry. Is the trim a done deal at this point?

We’ve not done anything with trim yet so that’s no problem!

In that case, I'd try to move forward in a more orderly fashion of steps. I totally get sometimes you do what you can when you can, but flooring is a much bigger, less options step than trim. Sideline the trim until you get to that step and maybe your DH will change his mind by then.

Another vote for #2--hands down the most classic. It will go well with any paint color you decide to do down the road. I also think it works with the dark stained trim.

You know we don’t do anything in a hurry at my house Pool! Took three years just to get this far in the pantry!

I remember when we ordered flooring they said to order all at once... to insure it’s the same lot so colors are consistent. I guess even in the same type there can be noticeable variety. I am not sure if that’s true but maybe an expert can address that.

The rest of it will be ordered at the same time. This first 80 or whatever square feet had to be done in its own. It came in today, and if anyone would be able to notice a difference between this and the kitchen they’d have an eagle eye.

So far. Rest of uppers go up tomorrow. Friday the lowers will go in and thewe have to figure out what we’re doing for countertops. There will be a couple uppers under the pass thru opening, but built up so same height as lowers, with a thinner counter on top. Contemplating painting the trim around the pass thru white since the trim in the house will be white. Anyway, I am liking the floor!

I say paint the pass through same as other trim. Or maybe cabinet color? Maybe use the same counter top material in the horizontal part? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just me throwing out ideas! So happy for you that this project is finally moving towards a final stage.

It looks so good I was curious enough to see where I could see it in real life. According to their website, it just says unfortunately not in any stores in my region. ( I am in Pennsy. If it worked correctly , seems closest is South Carolina.).anyway take that as a compliment!

Thanks everyone! I know the possibilities of the floor being discontinued etc-but sadly we just don't have the money to tie it all up in flooring at the moment, while leaving the rest undone, you know? The next batch will be the kitchen/living room and the little bit of "hallway", and we still need to get cabinets/counter/hood/redo the exhaust/venting for the kitchen, plus counters for the pantry. If nothing else, if in the next couple months (hopefully not longer but who knows) or whatever it ends up I can't get it anymore, I'll see about getting the lighter one.

Would likely choose the fourth one -- the one on the right with the most even coloring.

Maybe ask wherever you got it if it’s something they usually keep in stock or not. You may also be able to order directly from the manufacturer or at least track down other locations it’s sold at.

#4 is a totally different look so I wouldn’t blend the two. If this gets discontinued you May find it replaced with something similar. Or find something elsewhere.

the place we ordered from doesn't keep it in stock. We've got the sheet from where it was shipped from, so we plan to call them. There's 10 other places that sell it, tho, w/in a couple few hours of here, if need be, and I don't know if they all get them thru the place ours came from or I would assume there are more warehouses or wherever. I'd think we'd have it all taken care of by May, so I think we'll be good. And if not, we'll figure it out then! Nice we don't have a big house-it was like 4 and a partial boxes to do the pantry.

Haven’t ordered counters yet. the butcher block he’s going to maybe stain and then epoxy it. Kick plates tomorrow, maybe trim will go on too, not sure. need to decide on pulls yet also. The upper in the middle has a glass shelf for inside and glass inside the doors-I’m going to find a pretty fabric or something I think to put in there first.
