Thank you! The molding on the top of the cabinets? There's a little piece that needs replaced, still. We have plenty left from what we removed, it just needs to be cut and put up! Did you mean a different molding?

Great job! I am bookmarking this post to share with others with similar cabinets. I added a small island to my L shaped oak kitchen and love it - adds just enough counter space and a great place to have a snack. It is a closed kitchen, but somewhat similar layout:

This is lovely! It is open, but you still have a feeling of separation so it doesn't feel like you are in a loft (you retained the homey feel). The vinyl flooring looks great, too, that was a great choice.

Very nice! I love it when items can be repurposed and re-used. Your new layout with the DW on the same wall as the sink is a great improvement, and the open shelves are a really nice touch. The difference is amazing.

Very nice! Maybe paint the cabinets on the wall to match the island to refreshen up the old 70's style cabinets.
