I read in the first thread,

itanium is a gorgeous stone and with all the glittering looks like from outer space!

You just have to remember that the black areas of Titanium (which is predominant) are softer than most granites, and easier to scratch with a metal/knife/car-key. Titanium is partly formed by schist, a softer stone.

It's that which gives me pause. I have looked a LOT online and this is the first I am seeing of it being a bit more delicate. This is why I am asking here.

I have the brushed version on my office coffee bar. It shows no wear or scratches and we're definitely not careful with it, but it also doesn't get used as much as a kitchen would. I think the brushed texture also helps to hide any imperfections.

That looks gorgeous Kristen. I knew Titanium looks great with white-offwhite, but I was not sure about a darker stain and your photo shows me it looks great.

Here's hoping I can find some nice slabs and that they are not crazy $$. :)

I will definitely be looking a lot more discerningly at the particular slabs to see if there is much mica.

I have titanium and love it! It’s really beautiful. I don’t baby it but I have had to have repairs done twice around the sink. My cast iron pan is most likely the culprit! Ignore the samples.. in the process of picking paint colors to paint cabinets so I’m living with samples!

thanks Lisa! it is gorgeous isn't it. Now have to get a pricing reality. When I looked before, I know it was not outrageous or anything price wise but I didn't look seriously.
