I'm not trying to be critical, but where I live that type of door is required to be fire rated. Doesn't look like that is. I'd paint it the same color as all of your other doors.

The new one, doesnt look fire rated to me, either. Code requires a fire rated door between house and garage. I would also paint the door to match all your other doors in the house.

I will say though that the house that I sold and the house that I bought both had cat doors in them and they passed inspection.

They may pass by an inspector, with cat doors, but, that doesnt make them safe. They need to be fire rated for a reason.
