I am remodeling a charming house with lots of character built in 1947. It has two decent sized bedrooms connected by an open hallway. In the middle of the right side of the hall is the door to the bathroom and the entire left side is lined in floor to 9ft ceiling bookshelves. I’m looking for ideas on how to decorate this area without it appearing “choppy” and without both rooms having to be identical. Would also love ideas for the bookshelves. Not loving the idea of white but all the wood is soooo dark.
