Kate - That sounds good. I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows in other people's gardens this coming season.. Dearest Valentine will be in seven gardens other than mine this Spring. The leaves on my clumps were just starting to emerge when we got this Arctic blast. They probably poked their heads back in the ground.

Oh my goodness, Debra, I know! We were low 20s last night and again tonight. And while our northern friends laugh at that, one must remember my leaves are at least a foot high already!! LOL!! They are waaaay too tall to poke their heads back so some of them just lie down! And add that to the deluge of rain for two weeks!! Ah, weather!!

Here DV is tucked in under snow which is a good thing. I think this Arctic blast will be the first time all season we may actually hit zero tonight with wind chill putting us at -10. Snow has not been plentiful this season and temps bouncing from 40's down to 20's. I think the highest snowfall this season was about 6-7 inches and that melted quickly. However, the storm we had recently will most likely hang around for longer this time. Can't wait till spring warmth arrives.

Julia - Winter has been extremely wet but mild this winter. We've only had a dusting of snow on two days.

Julia, looks like we are having similar weather here, had 5 inches of snow on Wednesday, it’s really cold now!

Beautiful, Debra! Can't wait to see mine bloom. Like all of you, we have had a mild winter with intermittent cold pockets (typically 20s but it has reverted to above freezing the following day. The silly lilies think it is nearing bloom time. Not so. I have ordered a lot of new labels so the new ones will have proper labels, but realize it should be much less bloomiferous since this is the sleep year....We will see. So far everything seems to be okay.

Thanks Kay! My daylilies thought it was Spring until last week. Temps in the teens burned back the foliage of the evergreens.
