My husband and I bought a long coffee table over 30 yrs ago from my in-laws. It's approx. 5 to 5 1/2 ft long x 18-24 in x 2 in wide. Solid mahogany, we think. It was our first piece of furniture. The legs are wobbly and it has just done its time as a coffee table. I would like to use the top for something, hopefully in the Mediterranean style home we are hoping to get. I really like the Tuscan country Italian look and plan to do my kitchen in it. I've thought about a chalkboard for kitchen. Or for theater. (I collect coca-cola items). Any ideas on how to use this top in a useful way in our new home, while showcasing the wood? Any ideas appreciated. I'm open to any ideas!
