Difference between Miele dishwashers

So I have gathered that a favorite dishwasher is Miele but there is a huge price range and a ton of options out there. How do I choose what's best? Is there a favorite? I am looking for panel ready.

@Kim G - so what is the model number of you Miele dishwasher. I had G5705 SCU (7 years old) - It works beautifully for the Reidel quality glassware.

Now I'm back in the market to buy two dishwashers for a second home we are building. I settled for G6745 SCU - which is their equivalent model to our old one - The dealer just informed me that they have discontinued that - so I have to choose between a less expensive model G6625 SCU or G6835SCi model which is more expensive

Can't wait till September for their newer equivalent models - so I'm back to the drawing board.

I don't need lights inside buy my main wants are:

    3D - Cutlery Tray

    Pop Out drying cycle

44 decibels or less or close (really close to it)

Good to do the Reidel glass ware

    Adjustability in all the racks

    Water Softer

Let me know what model you ended up with.

    Thanks

why are you buying 2 washers? If you need capacity why not get one of the Professional ones? Maybe more expensive, but depending on your layout it may offer space for something else.

the new G7000 units are coming soon, so that may be another wrinkle

Paddy kk - my Dw is the lumen - bought it 5 years ago when it first came out. It is also panel ready. You can filter on the MIele website using auto open and crystal and china. You will have see when ones have the water softener. That seems to be a little harder to find.

Yes I'm thorough;y devouring the miele website!

We are going with two dishwashers not for capacity - one for the kitchen and one for the bar area - where it will be mostly wine glasses.

Maybe I can skip having a built in water softner. Not even sure my current model has it. I didn't consider Lumen because I didn't need the lights and didn't want a handle - I like the no handle one - although Lumen has a lot of features - so yours must be the G6875 or G6565

It’s probably close to the 6875. Mine has a water softener - necessary for my area as we have very hard water. If you don’t want a handle then you need to do the pocket type handle or the knock 2 open. I imagine that is why the two models you mentioned were recommended. I really. Like the lights but not a have to have.
