So much will depend on the maple they use . Some has a lot of variation and some quite clear. How did you decide on your choice? Did you go th Barker and look at samples? Are you doing this on the net ? IMO I would want to see the actual maple they use in a showroom and have them sign a promise that that is what you will get. All the pics in the world will not be better than that.

Unfortunaltely Barker doesn't have much of a show room, and they don't have slab maple cabinets on display. Seeing them in person would be my first choice as well! I have a sample at home but it's hard to tell what an entire kitchen will look like from a salmple.

I've looked at Cliq which had good prices but not the styles we wanted, and I got a quote from Scherrs which has great wood choices but it was much more than we can afford
