Flooring can be tricky when placed next to stain grade cabinets. If you choose to install oak flooring since that is the most common, then you need to make sure to go with a contrasting color or it will look odd. You are a medium tone on your cabinets so a much darker color or natural would be your best options. Right now floors are trending darker. If you choose to go with another species, make sure that they are not too red or will clash with the current cabinets.
