Your probably going to have to get a custom door installed. May I ask why you want to put a door on this?

Custom is the way to go....I would opt for double doors so that, when open, they are not blocking your shower...or sticking into your bedroom awkwardly. I would paint the entire bump out creamy white to match doors. This will give the elusion of being more grand.

There is a skylight in the bathroom that wakes us up at the crack of dawn. We could just put some kind of shade on it but we still want a door on the bathroom. If one of us has to get up early we cant turn the lights on in the bathroom. We feel like we're living in a hotel room!

I agree with JWInteriora about the custom door, BUT I would make it a pocket door.

You will definitely need a custom door made. You could put a transom window in the arch and install a regular door though.

I love the custom door and transom ideas from above. If you are trying to block light, you might consider a colored-glass transom or a custom stained glass transom. Either one could be made with dark-colored glass and there are wonderful textures available. It wouldn't block out the light completely, but it would likely tone it down. If you want to block it completely, you could fill in the arch with a solid wood panel and single door below.

Another alternative is to pit a shade on the sky light.

If you want to hide the arch-shape, you might consider a sliding 'barn door' on a rail against the wall. It could be quite an interesting option depending on the style of door construction you choose. There are a number of examples in the Houzz Products section.

A good idea was posted about pocket doors. Since you have a build out around the door...enlarged it to house the pocket doors. Do demo to the bathroom side whatsoever. Here are pics of double doors to swing, or slide.

Could put a barn door type. Go modern with glass not clear. Hardware in stainless would go on top of arch. The door would push to side. Google barn doors glass.

HI -- I would not try to put a door on this the way it is . Better off to just remodel the door opening and put a standard door in . The only way to handle this with out getting rid of the door opening , is to surface mount two half doors that covers the outside square shape .Maybe too complicated !
