Could we start at the scarves on the windows they need to go. I would do the walls like the ceiling and add some drapes to the windows.In fact I would remove the california shutters in that very elegant office and use the drapes to control light if needed a new light fixture would be great and a desk lamp even if battery operated. This does not appear to be a real working office so maybe a bit more info. I would also like to see at least one comfy chair and table with lamp . Think this space needs proper lighting that fan light is pretty useless in any place where you need to read for sure. Maybe some pot lights with the table lamps will do the trick.

I agree with Patricia. I would use the color that is like the ceiling, also for the walls. Its a nice room. I also agree, those window scarfs have to go. I do like the blinds though.

Navy, forest green, or ceiling color. Keep the shutters, lose the scarves. Get a nice Persian rug and pull your color from that
