My friend is planning to renovate her kitchen and put a dining room addition. Her wish is to have 2 tone of the kitchen cabinets: cherry wood for the base of the kitchen island and the rest of the kitchen cabinet is color painted. In the dining room addition: There will be an open stair so it will still allow the lights from the window behind the stair from the front of the house (south side). She also prefer a floor to ceiling type window at the end wall of the house (west side). There is a sliding door (north side) to access the new patio deck. She is looking for some advise regarding all of this windows configuration because she is concern that it might be too much day light for the dining room. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
