Hello!
I recently purchased Calcutta Classique and just finished the measurements. I went to the warehouse to inspect the slab and was shocked to see the slab (pictured below). The slab was very different from the model in the showroom. The pictures show how "fake" the new slabs their receiving. The warehouse agreed and mentioned the tariffs stopped most Chinese slabs and now getting Classique from Turkey. FYI...went to MSI showroom and Classique is now discontinued on their floor.
Here's my dilemma; The Classique we purchased, has an agreement that we pay for only the material we use. We don't have to buy slabs and eat the waste (the reason we optioned for this company & material). But, they suggested Verona or Laza since their similar. On these options, you have to pay for the whole slab. It looks like we need two slabs to get the job done and that raises the price by $1,700!! They did mentioned we could get it all done with 1 slab but would have to have a seam in the middle of the counter. I did like the Verona but not sure how a seam would look in the middle of the counters.
Any recommendations or suggestions would be highly appreciated!
