    match accent tile

How to make it look bigger ... use a clear shower curtain. Swap out the tall narrow mirror (although it is nice, can you save it or use it elsewhere?) for a wider mirror.

I like the wall color suggestions, matching your tile. Pretty!

A very light blueish green would look great - a shade or two lighter than the tile.

Off white or just warm color?

Still struggling. I prefer netural color. White Dove or white cloud. It may not work out with off white tile. What is the best color do you suggest ?

It could be greenish or bluish . I am worry.

Have you tried any samples on the wall yet?

Yes white dove and white cloud. I like them but I am not sure if it is a good idea about this color for this bathroom

I think you need a hint of color, since everything is white. I used Benjamin Moore Horizon. The one with the shower curtain is sea salt, the other is Horizon.

Anyone know why I can’t seem to post a picture on a new thread? I need help with paint colors but it closes the app every time I try to make a post.

I checked the sea salt color in the google. I think I will not like it because it is too coastal. I am looking for farmhouse or pottery barn feeling. I live in the country side. My tile is more of green mix with blue. It is very hard to find because it is too blue or green.

@hemina I tried to paint the sea salt. It seem nice! I would love to have Benjamin Moore to get that color. Will it possible to match to SW Sea Salt? Will it be exact the same color?

@fsg89 - only one way to find out: have BM do a color match in a sample size and check to see how it looks on your walls. Can't wait to see your final decision and result!

You can take a photo of your tile to the Ben Moore store and have them color match it, and show you lighter options.

    How about a light gray?

i agree...light gray would look pretty.

I prefer to use old prairie or something like that

Show us the samples you’ve done so far...

Would the paint color you used in your foyer look good in the bathroom??

@ outshopping422, too bad .. it is linen white isn’t good for bathroom.

Judging from your pics I think Benjamin Moore Mystic beige might look nice.

I would bring my ivory tile to the store. They will scan it. Hopefully I will like it.

Your floor tiles are cream, and the shower is green and cream. Adding more beige will be hard to keep either the walls or floors from looking grungy in comparison. And gray will look even worse. Go to a BM store and look at the white colors that have tints of blueish green. It will still be a very neutral color, but will have undertones that work with your finishes.

I took some chips yo match to this tile. Which one is the best?

Looks like Pale Oak is natural and warm and goes with your tile :)

I was searching over search engines and found your blog site. tree service

I checked it out . Pale oak is grayish. I am concern

It might look nice bc it looks like gray in your accent tile. Or just match the color (white?) of your tub, sink cabinet and toilet.

I think Pale Oak is too beige/gray, and some of your other green options have too much yellow, going more toward olive tones. Look for whites with blueish green, maybe something like BM Sea Foam.

The color is a lighter version of your accent tiles.

Finally I got some ideas since I brought my white tile to match it. BM scanned it. They are the few of them to match it. I think the soft chamois which is the best match to it.

If you're looking for something that is NOT in the green family, I would agree that matching your the more neutral colour of your tiles is the way to go. It will eliminate the contrast and make your room feel more spacious. White will be too stark and will almost certainly make your tile look old and dirty. I would take a look at something like OC-9 Ballet white from Benjamin Moore.

You can then use your towels and shower curtain to pick up on the minting accent tile if you wish to tie in that colour. Good luck with your project!

I’m still struggling! I just painted soft chomsis. It looks like a little gold in it. I tried to find the right color.

I tried other color, sea salt. Mmm?? What do you think?

    The sea salt looks great!

I like it! You should google Kylie M’s blog about SW sea salt. She goes into depth about how it looks on various locations. Natural sunlight vs lighting and window directions really seem to change the color from green to gray to blue. You could also try it in 50% or 75% too. Keep in mind, if that’s a sample pot, the bathroom paint will be a different finish-more shiny -so that will look a little different as well.

I was wondering about how much change when I use BM BATH SPA WITH MATTE. It will another testing to see to match it

  • PRO

BM Aura Bath and Spa only comes in a matte finish (and it is a fantastic paint choice), so if your sample pot is matte, it will look very similar in terms of sheen.

The other counsel I would give is do NOT test the paint directly on the wall unless you are going to do a proper number of coats. Paint up a 11 x 17" sample on white card stock so you can properly evaluate the colour. I can't actually tell which patch is supposed to be Soft Chamois.

I do not like soft chamois for bathroom. It is too blah. I like the sea salt. But if I try to use 50 percent or 75 percent lighter which will be possible more bluer or greener.

Sea Salt is very light already. You do NOT need to make it lighter. It will look lighter once the whole room is painted rather than looking at a patch of the paint on your white walls.

    @calidesgin

It is complete different from SW TO BM. Left side SW IS DARKER than the right side BM

    BM formula

    Right side...BM looks nice :)

    That is BM SEASALT

This is lighter and little more green than the accent tile.

My tile is very similar or maybe even the same As your tile. I had the paint matched to the white tile and think it looks nice :)

SW and BM have different white bases, so there can be a slight difference when color matching, but I like the greener and less gray BM sample you have.

@calidesign. Can I use white semi gloss BM for the trim goes with sea salt BM?

@calidesign is it okay for sea salt BM with little more blue in accent tile?

The color doesn't have to match your tiles exactly, and yes, you can use Sea Salt on the walls with white trim. What matters is if you like the color. If you want a color with more blue like your tiles, then try another sample.
