can anyone help me date this blanket chest?

I have this blanket chest and want to know his old it could be. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

You may have a genuine period piece that requires closer examination. Photos are not detailed enough to see joinery and I see it has a 2-board top, appears to be original, and the hardware looks primitive. It may very well be 18th Century. The most valuable blanket chests were those made in Wythe County VA, and can fetch several thousands of dollars. What I would do is reach out to the conservator of this historical society for guidance and email several photos if they will agree to look at them for guidance. This is a speciality area and you have to hook up with someone who knows the segment. Be sure to get detailed photos to send to them and they can may be able to give you some insight. To be sure, do NOT attempt to repair or refinish it in any way. Good luck.

No idea on date, but I love the hinges ( those are really beautiful) and the color. I would guess it is from Europe, not America, but IDK. Love the colors, so useful in so many different spaces. I loaned a really big, painted one to my DIL and she uses it for her blankets. I love grain painted six boards, so I have four and am always looking for more. I use a plain, small one to hold out of season sofa cushions and have an enormous greenish blue one on the back porch to hold the patio cushions ( it was the perfect size!).

Did you happen to gather any info on this stamp? I have a desk with it stamped on the bottom and I can’t find any info on the desk except for this post with the same stamp.
