I somewhat confused by your post. Where is the pipe? What do you mean by a "building at the base"?

Hi all! I got this pothos from a friend who was propagating his. Initially it was in a different jar with soil, with 2 leaves above soil, for about 2-3 weeks. There was no growth but I decided to repot it to a new pot, upon removing from soil I found a buried 3rd leaf. I decided to move it to water instead for a bit, it started growing a tiny little leaf and my heart was glowing. But after repotting it (another 2 weeks later or so) I accidentally broke that growing bit. Now I am scared that was the only growth it will ever attempt to produce as there don’t seem to be any other leaf forming places at the bottom of the existing ones. Is there anything I can do to stimulate growth? Any suggestions are super welcomed! Thanks!
