Ceiling fan making mattress vibrate?!

It sounds crazy but our (now second) ceiling fan is making our mattress vibrate. Has anyone ever dealt with this? It's drastically impairing our sleep. Our room is roughly 16x17 with tray ceilings. The tray area is about 13 ft. I can't help but wonder if this has something to do with it? Never had a ceiling fan shake our mattress before in any other house. The room in general is very sensitive to acoustics. Anyone with any help out there?!!

Maybe the fan blades need to be balanced? Vibrations being transferred through the framing? Long shot guess.

^^ That was my first thought. Or the fan isn't adequately secured, maybe doesn't have the proper kind of box (one designed for use with ceiling fans).

Or maybe reverse the direction of the fan - there's usually a switch somewhere to do this. Easy to try.

Since this is the second ceiling fan, I would have an electrician come and check out that ceiling box. If the fan is nice and secure, there should be no reason to feel the vibration. At the same time, ask the electrician to make sure the blades are balanced, but, I doubt that it is, because, you would know that, just looking at the fan when it is running.
