Thank you, John. The issue is my friends and I have tried by various means and the seeds have rotted. It's alarming to hear such a thing as not being able to stick a seed in soil to grow the expected fruit. I plant all sorts of vegetables, avocado, mango, papaya seeds all the time with success and grow pineapples from the crowns of store bought fruit. Lemons, though ... The seeds I've planted over the past 4 years have all rotted. That is what I find alarming ... It tells me the supply is not organic. I don't have one with me now but many come from Florida.

I see the purchase of a lemon tree in my future.

non organic means more mutation, not always bad......

I take the seed out of the husk. Put it in a moist paper towel until I see the taproot grow 1/16 of an inch.... then plant in coco coir. You can’t overwater or they will rot of course...

I germinated Meyer lemon seeds a few months ago. I stuck them in the soil of potted plants I had indoors for the winter, and some germinated in November, within a month of being planted, and some germinated a few months later when the windowsills warmed up. I got seeds from fruit from a friend of a friend's tree (I asked my friend, who lives in a place where citrus is commonly grown, to send me some)
