The albino seedling will die as soon as it uses up all the nutrition in the seed from which it came.

Steve, I've never had an albino. But since you're an citrus adventurer, perhaps you could approach graft it to the neighbor and allow the albino to grow further... perhaps breed something new if it were to fruit?

This paper suggests that removing the outer seed coat can prevent albinism.

Albinism in Citrus seedlings

So, I don't know whether you want to reduce the number of albino seedlings, or want to encourage them.

This is my first in close to 500 seedlings over the past 7 years. I will care for this seedling through out its life. This could also turn out to be variegated.

As per what Silica said, an albino plant is essentially without a "stomach" in that it arguably can't produce sugars through photosynthesis? If that's the case, then maybe you could propagate it via grafting as per Ken's comment, only, I think you would have to graft the albino into a green plant that has enough leaves so the green part of the plant can support the albino part of the plant.

It’s all possible. I’ve seen a video on YouTube showing citrus grafting under a microscope, in order to introduce varieties without viruses.

Steve very interesting! It could be just the lighting but It looks like the stem greened up a little compared to the first picture?

The 2 big NZL seedling will be potted up. The tiny one to the left is a Meiwa as is the one to the far back left. I will leave the 3 small ones together in the same container.
