Thanks folks, I use a mini-rake to comb out the roots, trying to get all the mix off. This showed a good place to separate these guys.

The rest. Oops, sorry for the blur, but you get the idea & can see the cut. Am letting them dry a couple of days & then will crumble off more mix & pot them up.

I like the curvy leaf edge this has, which I hadn't noticed 'til I separated them, handsome.

Karen, there is something so satisfying about saving plants like that for me. Especially when you see how good they respond with good cultural practices in such a short period of time and all the potential they have. That plant is lucky to be in your care)

No, I didn't change profile deliberately, I fell out of the program, couldn't get back in.

Was helped in by Geek Squad of my Best Buy deal, but ended up w/ a new name & don't know how to fix it. Also, now I get email notifications of comments, etc. which I CAN'T STAND!!! Grrrr!

I just found out it has finally started to spread in my Dad's nursing home. They were virus free up until they tested on Friday or probably had it going on and didn't even know it until they tested. Weird. 22 residents have it and yet no symptoms, that is what is scary. They are spreading it to each other and don't even know it. That is why they are testing everyone even if they have no symptoms to protect everyone. I pray they are all ok. I know all the residents there and they are all so sweet. Be safe and what a nice looking plant from when you found it.

Updating further, 3 months after rescue, they're doing very nicely.

The smaller, one w/ the curvy leaf edges has a new leaf in the center & the smaller leaf on the left has doubled in height.

Here's the larger one. That tall, center leaf is all new.

Pretty amazing to me it can grow a whole new leaf as tall as its mature leaves, all in 3 months. So much for 'transplant shock', huh.

They're looking good!
