Socks are on my list to try! I've knitted for 50 years but never done any socks.

I recently challenged myself to learn continental knitting. I think I could get pretty good with the knit stitch but purling is confounding me.

l enjoy knitting socks and it is one the few things that I still knit. I don't need any shawls, or scarfs or hats.

I have made a few pairs of mittens and gloves. They are a natural extension of socks.

That looks like a pretty sock and it looks like the toe is closed up much like a mitten thumb, or started with a star toe cast on. I am just finishing up a pair of worsted weight scrap slippers for me and I cast on a round, or star toe. It was interesting and I will use it again. It makes a rather roomy toe, but that is what I wanted for a pair of slipper socks that will be worn over other socks.

Ms Bordi is a talented knitter and teacher but I just cannot watch her videos because she just goes on and on and on with all the talking and story telling. Enough!!!

She is not the only one, though. And it is not just knitters. I see the same thing in many videos. I just want to see what I came there for, not hear all of the yakking. Unless all that talking has some real relevance to what is being demonstrated, I will just look elsewhere. I get inpatient with people who talk a lot. I hit the forward bar a lot.
