Design Dilemma Basements Flooring

which is the better quality carpet?

We’re replacing wall to wall carpet in our basement and we’re deciding between Masland and Dixie. While we like the look of the Masland better, the Dixie comes in about $750 cheaper. Is Masland carpet better quality (I think the twist number is higher?) or are we just paying for the style?

I have no idea but the savings do not sound big enough to choose what you don’t like.

Yes, Masland is generally the better product. Like everything though, it depends on the individual products chosen.
