Will Yard Moss Grow on Broken Concrete?

I have an abundance of yard moss that grows on soil. I am using a run off ditch for a dry stream bed thru my woods. I have a lot of 25 yr old broken concrete and am using it to line the sides of the 'stream'. (It is not as good as real rocks but it is something I have and it is free. I hope to make it look more natural with plantings.) I plan to put hosta, ajuga, mini green ivy, ferns etc along the edges and maybe a little wooden bridge.

Do I need to put the moss along the edges of the concrete in the scratched up soil and then hope it will spread to the tops of the concrete or is it a different type of moss for rocks? I still plan to do the moss on soil and will look for rocks with moss when I walk in the woods.
