I have two suggestions. Navy is easier than gray. Choose the gray first.

If you don't like that idea choose the navy paint color you want to use. Then play with the color until you find a gray that will work. I did this using MS Paint.

I used BM Yankees Navy. Then I lightened it and removed a bit of the blue. Are you wanting a very pale gray, as in almost white?

Going with a cool gray, especially one with silver tones, will look incredible with navy blue! Check out Classic Gray from Behr Paints. If you like it and want to use a different paint company, I'm sure you will find one close enough.

I have been searching for the perfect gray to go with Navy Blue

Figure out what hue family your Navy Blue belongs to and then we search for a near neutral (gray) from the same hue family in whatever lightness value you want.

For example, Hale Navy from Benjamin Moore. We'd look for a gray paint color from the same hue family neighborhood.

It would depend on how light/dark (value) you want and also how neutral you want the gray to look - just gray or a hint of discernible hue (chroma). And both value and chroma would be informed by what else is going on in the space.

I'm going to follow-up with what @Bev said and also suggest looking at "Silver City" and "Statuesque." Both are also from Behr (from the "Marquee" line).

Repose grey from Sherwin Williams goes great with Benjamin Moore Hale Navy.

I have a comforter in shades of blue, predominantly navy, and I used Home Depot Behr Flannel Gray. It looks great!

Those kinds of colors are called near neutrals. One option from the same hue family as New York State of Mind is Cumberland Fog by PPG Paints. It's best to see a chip from PPG Paints. If you don't have a PPG Store, ask your Benjamin Moore store if they have a PPG fandeck behind the counter. They usually do because they can try to match it.

Also grab a chip of Tundra 2133-70 it's about as close to a true neutral gray as you can get in commercial paint product.

I do not think of that as navy but BM suggests a darker gray and frostline maybe start with those to test in your space.

It's pretty. Be sure to test it in your space and compare carefully next to NY State of Mind to make sure you it's the look you're after.

What navy and gray did you end up with?
I am considering Newburyport Blue and Wickham Gray walls with Chantilly Lace trim and cabinets. Would appreciate any and all feedback. South facing exposure.
