Coneflower question

I planted 2 Coneflowers last year. Tiki Torch and Green Envy.

They did ok for me, of course the Green Envy is not showing any signs of growth this spring.

The Tiki Torch was looking good, but today I noticed that it looks like part of it is dying. This is the first time I have tried to grow coneflowers in many years.

The plant is in full sun, and we have had enough rain I think to keep it happy. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be causing part of it to be dying?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

They suffer from a variety of diseases. The wild color forms seem to be stronger and survive longer but none of them seem to last forever without a lot of work. 'Magnus' performs the best for me and even it needs some attention every couple of years.
