Help with Front Room!

Hi,
Partially because we’re quarantining and partially because we’ve been trying to figure out this space for years...

Looking for ideas on how to finish this front room space to make it feel balanced. The room is approx 9’ x 10’ and Pottery Barn Chesterfield loveseat will stay. Thinking about wooden arm chairs, cow hide rug, etc, but we just can’t figure it out.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Richie

I would place the sofa on the adjacent wall (beneath the wreath), move the table/lamp into the corner, and then place a chair in the corner where the side table/lamp currently sit. Add a round mirror behind the sofa, and large piece of art (with some color!) where the square mirror is. Repeat the art colors in the rug and sofa pillows. For the rug size - leave about 12" of floor showing on the perimeter and make sure the legs of the sofa and chair sit on it.

Please get some art who wants to see the coat hooks twice. A rug with some texture and maybe one chair with ottoman and that will be it for the space Iam pretty sure you can find something more interesting than a wreath for that niche maybe a thin vase with fresh flowers or a wall mounted vase with fresh flowers they are so cheap at grocery stores you can have fresh all the time You need either a table at each end of the loveseat or a small coffee table if you ever want to actually use the space and I think you need more than one lamp.

Cowhide doesn’t seem to fit the style of this room/furniture.

More pictures of all sides of the room and an explanation of how you use this room are necessary...in a room this size ...function is foremost

Thanks for all the ideas. Those are actually all the sides of the room. It’s open to the entry and the stairs leading to the second floor. The room isn’t used too often, just want to have it be a nice area when opening the front door.

you have a wonderful start to a lovely sitting room and to me you probably could finish it because you just explained what you want.. cowhide rug and wooden chairs... love that idea... very rustic luxe feeling to me... that said, thought I would share some ideas on chairs that you could consider. I also think you could rearrange a bit and put the couch across from the window and then add two chairs across from each other and facing each other and would be to the left and right of the couch with a coffee table in between.

heres some ideas for coffee tables that bring in the rustic vibe... I would put your clear vase with the stems that you have on the floor on top of the coffee table.

From an Eastern Feng Shui perspective, a mirror facing front door is not the best placement. Plus, art would be a very nice statement on that entry wall. Also, as another placement option, you could consider moving loveseat and hanging a mirror in niche, over sofa/loveseat on that wall, facing windows; mirror would reflect light from window (s), would be lovely. Sammie J offered nice ideas for that setup.

I really like the Chesterfield. I think if it were done in leather, or leather look, a cowhide rug would work better. I'm a vegan, so not taking issue with the current fabrication, at all. But with your piece, for something fun with animal print, I could envision more of a zebra type pattern, in grey/off-white, that type of thing.

Or maybe just bring in a mainly solid rug, to add texture.

A lumbar pillow or two on Chesterfield in a striking color, could lend drama.

Magenta above, I could also envision a deep plum shade.

Really depends on your style, and rest of your house, these are just a few thoughts

Also, if you find a piece of art that you love, that may inspire and inform your other choices/additions.

Hope some of this helps. :)

Is there a program I can get to do simple mock up of ideas. Not sure how everyone does that?

Thank you all for the great ideas and pics!
