Pillow Recommendation

So I'm trying to pick out a pillow to purchase for a sham. I think I want a firm standard, but I'm a bit lost with all the styles, brands, materials, etc.

It's a twin bed with a tall headboard that has leather padding.

I have a flanged standard sham, but it was seeming slouchy and not quite working; this may have been partially due to a dying pillow in it. I also have a non-flanged euro-sized sham, but euro seems like it might be too tall, since I don't really want to hide the headboard; I can fold the euro sham down to look like a flangeless standard sham. I do lean on the pillow a fair bit, so it needs to not Get squashed or flat, but I don't want a rock either.

Anyone have a strong preference for a certain pillow? Or a certain amount of fill or type of fill material they particularly like for shams?

Here's the bed:

The purple pillow is my regular bed pillow ... both aforementioned shams are the same ivory color. Notice how slumpy the sham looks. I'm not really looking to get more shams, and I do have accent pillows I can toss on when I feel like it (especially when using my ivory pillowcase on the bed pillow). I'm really just looking for a new pillow insert for one of the two ivory shams. That being said, I am always open to suggestions.

Thanks,
