Go the ceiling line INSIDE the window "box, and on the exterior wall only. / That will balance the hood area. Sides to just under cabinet height. Don't tile the inside edges. of the box. AT ALL. Tile the ledge, and below...or get a remnant of your counter top cut to fit the "sill" , if there's room under the window casing.

Agree with BeverlyFLADesigner on tile layout. Perhaps remove bottom piece of window casing and surface tile and add a solid piece of stone as the sill under the window to provide a solid surface (no seams) for your plants and other decorative items. Bring side casing down to abut stone surface.

OR keep the entire line of tile on that wall at window ledge height once you’re free of the upper cabinet on the right. This look is much more polished and symmetrical. In the image below, tile is in white.

#2 and then maybe paint the window recess to match the lower cabinets or the hood. Your view through the window will be enhanced with dark walls immediately around it.
