The edge looks correct. I think you are referring to the corner radius.

The contract I signed didn't specify anything regarding the corners, only the edge. They told me eased would give a very minimal rounding for safety purposes. I verbally stated I wanted a square look - not rounded.

Right - so the eased edge is correct. The radius corner can be different sizes. I'm not sure who was at the template or what was discussed - but that is probably their standard radius dimension as they mentioned.

This is actually safer - bang your hip directly into the square edge and you will notice it. The radiused corner will soften the blow.

I recently installed new countertops as well. My quote was for "Edge finish: Straight". It sounds like I got lucky because the topic of radius corner was not discussed with me either, so I assumed I got what was standard. Becky, I'm sorry you're not happy with your counters.

I understand the safety concern for sure. I just had a look in mind that I feel the rounded edge doesn't achieve as well.

It can be made more square, but you'd better like the look of less overhang.

I wouldn't be happy with it either but you asked for eased edge and that is what you got. The rounded corner has nothing to do with eased edge.

When I met with the fabricator I brought pictures of everything so there was no misunderstanding. I had picture of how I wanted the edges, inside corners and outside corners.
