Non-flowering iochroma

I purchased a nicely flowering Iochroma 'Princess' in late 2017, as a smallish plant. The following January, the Houston area was hit with a particularly hard freeze that killed quite a few of my more tender plants. The iochroma survived, but I don't recall if it came back from top growth or from the roots. In the following two years, and into this year, it has grown to 10 ft or so, producing prolific leafy branches that I cut back every once in a while - but no flowers. Replaying the sequence of events, I'm wondering if our plant is no longer 'Princess' but a rootstock plant - or if it somehow suffered differently from the freeze to where it refuses to bloom. It receives full sun - probably more than it wants, but never seems particularly bothered by the sun or heat - and enough moisture that it doesn't wilt even during the hot dry month we usually get in the summer. If it doesn't flower this year, it needs to go, but I want to give it my best effort. Any suggestions?
