For your budget, Ikea will be your best bet. Also Pier One or World Market.

You might be able to find someone locally that makes tables. Many craftsmen advertise on FB marketplace, etsy and craigslist. If the table is a simple design and the wood is reclaimed and not exotic you might be able to find something in your price range.

Buy pre-owned if that's your budget. Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. For $ 500 anything new is junk and it won't be solid wood. That won't even cover the cost of materials for a local person to build you one, either. Used furniture is available for pennies on the dollar of what it cost new.
