A couple of options. You could do roller shades they are a more clean/modern look. They come in many color/fabric/woven wood options. I would choose a white shade and install inside mount in each individual window just below the transom in each window. Or panels, but you would need to use a rod across the top of all windows at about the same height as your current rods. Then I would hang 4 white panels using rings not rod pocket or grommet, one on each end and 1 panel over the drywall between each window... The extra roller shades with the panels are an option.

Full drapery panels hung on a full rod just below the molding in the room and change the fan to a chandelier.

Also I don't think the angled furniture positions work with your room.

Time to paint the railings and balusters also.

Really depends on the look you would like to have. If you don't need treatments, the windows do look fine without, and with your contemporary aesthetic it works.

For drapes, maybe something along these lines.

If It were my space, I would probably opt to leave plain, or more likely I would just go with motorized blinds or shades.

And definitely a chandelier, if you don't need fan.
