Hello. Do you still like your floors? How are they holding up? We are considering GeoWood also, but it’s such a new product and I cannot find many reviews.

Hi, yes, still love our floors. There are some scratches here and there, mostly on the stairs from our 60-pound puppy. But we’ve had no other issues besides that. They look and feel great and are easy to clean.

How much do they cost per sq ft?

novakemily8 we are also looking at the GeoWood Antique Iron for a basement remodel. Are your floors installed as a floating floor with the click together installation? Are you having any issues with the floors, separating, splitting or cracking? There are just so many bad reviews regarding these issues it is a little concerning.

Yes, installed as a floating floor. And no issues with separation, splitting or cracking so far. We have both raised foundation and concrete in our split-level.

I too am looking at flooring and just came across Geowood. What type of underlayment did you use? How is the feel underfoot? Is it noisy at all given that it’s a floating floor? We used to have a floating floor that echoed when we walked on it.

We installed GeoWood in our guest room with 6 mil plastic and are getting ready to install more in our master bedroom but are going with something that has more sound barrier. It does sound a bit hollow when walking on with the plastic. It has held up beautifully - only one scratch when we moved some furniture and a nail was sticking out (ugh) - no separation of planks or anything like that. We have a large dog, 2 cats and a 5 year old. Highly recommend for its beauty and quality.

Kathryn, what color GeoWood did you install? Are you still happy after six months? Do you think a different underlayment would have improved the sound issue?
