We are designing an ADA style home. One area we are considering is the kitchen sink. We have chosen to leave our counters and sink the typical height but not add a cupboard under the kitchen sink to allow for mobility aids to nest underneath as the sink is used. Our children who will be using this are not yet of the age or ability to access the kitchen sink but we are planning with their future in mind. For now, we are trying to think of ways to conceal the under sink area and maybe even use it for recyclables or cleaning supplies, etc. We’ll have a panel under the counter top concealing the sink but below that how can we best create an enclosed storage area? What about the toe kick to match the other cabinets? I’d love to hear ideas of what we could suggest to our cabinet company. Thanks!
