Road salt damage?

My hope is that it will survive. We see this brown in MN after the winter. Road salt, ice damage, etc. Strange because this winter wasn’t that harsh, however, my box woods suffered.

You can prune it- carefully with hand shears. This is the time of year to do that (March/April). Give it some good fertilizer or compost since it needs a boost after the winter. If it’s dead in the middle, cut those branches back to the base. If not, then it will probably survive. Might just take a little while.

From the photo, it looks like it still has life left in it!

Prune May-June. Do not apply chemical fertilizer if road salt is suspected.
