Do you have photos of the wood bar from the other angle? How is it attached?

Yes, there is another photo from the other end of the raised counter in the collection of project images. There is also a straight-on shot from the living room. Blow that one up and you'll see the 3 steel brackets at 1/4 points that provide intermediate support.
