A customer was supposed to get it, but their construction was not ready - so we were then able to get it as we are able to store in our garage until the kitchen is ready, maybe in 2 months or so

After 18 months of waiting, they finally arrived! I must say I am very pleased with the quality of the units thus far. Good Luck to everyone else still waiting, they will eventually arrive.

Ordered in May of 2021 and just received ours! Wasn't supposed to be in until spring.

I ordered 10/20 and received our Electrolux units today which was exciting but they didn’t deliver the trim kit because they said it was on backorder ughhhh! Can anyone help me with where I can get kit that won’t take another year?

Our kitchen is mostly complete as we have received the units... the trimkit didn't come and we had to run around all over the city to find one! I left the plastic on the fridge to protect the unit as work is still being done on that side of the kitchen. They look great!

@Seamus Dolan nice setup - what cabinets did you use? Are they painted?

Also, what is the distance from the fridge to the island? I am trying to determine how much space I need in front of this fridge and freezer when the island is parallel to the appliance, not perpendicular like your setup, but all info is helpful

@Jibu John according to our plans, approx 3' 8". Your 4ft should be more than enough.

Jibu John - same for us. We have 3’ 3” and we have clearance as well. You should be good.

After 14 months, mine have finally arrived! My contractor messed up the measurements so we can't use the trim kit but I still absolutely love them.

Our refrigerator arrived last week and the freezer should be getting here sometime next week. I haven’t gotten a ship notification for the trip kit though. Our contractor messed up the measurements for the opening as well but I realized it at the time and he is coming back once we have the units and trim kit to reset everything. Fortunately with our setup that is possible. I ordered Oct 11th 2020.

Is there anything special that needs to be done as far as depth? How far back does the unit need to be recessed in order for the trim kit install? If the hole is around regular cabinets… it should be deep enough right?

I actually did a dance!! 11 months after ordering from Park Ave Appliances in NJ, my pair was delivered to Houston in Jan. So excited! They offered to return my money each time I called to track my order, but since I understand what was going on from all the feedback in this forum, I was super chilled. Like nah, I can wait thank you. :-)  Cabinet installer did an amazing job with the space to allow an excellent fit.  Fingers crossed that contractor will get trim install right.  Good luck to all those still waiting.  It is a great buy.

Apparently they have solved the manufacturing-delay problems. We bought our Electrolux units on Jan. 11, 2022 and just received word that they arrived at the warehouse yesterday. No trim kit tho.

Greetings and Help please!! How does the trim kit fit around the units? Mine are single install not side-by-side. Should it be fixed or does it move shake, slip out of cutout each time the units are opened?  Is anyone also having their units wobble?  Watching my vision for a sleek install of these units slip out of my fingers as contractor insists that is the way it has to be. Claims the vertical trim only magnetically attaches to the refrigerator. ὢ5 I saw a showroom install of the units once and nothing was loose or shaking.

Anyone know where I can get the Filteredicekit??

If anyone need a double trim kit, I'm selling one for pickup only. 79", flat (TRMKTEZ2FL79). And includes heat pad for installation between units. Located in Long Beach, WA. $350 and it's yours!

@Tayo there should be no movement with your trim kit. Neither the units or the trim kit should move at all.

It’s been a little while since I’ve checked this post. I just wanted to share our experience in case it helps someone.

We ordered the Frigidaire twins from Goedekers in Oct of 2019.

Once Appliance Connection bought them out we stopped getting updates.

Then we suddenly got an update that we should expect the delivery of our Electrolux twins.

We received an Electrolux refrigerator and freezer about three weeks ago.

The trim kit we special ordered doesn’t fit.

The filtered ice kit TTFLTRICEKIT that we had been looking all over for and was told is no longer being made was taped inside our freezer.

It’s been a lot of frustration and poor communication, but we are happy with what we received and hope everyone else finally gets theirs too.

An install question - do we need the ice filter kit anymore? It is included with the freezer? Frigidaire says it is discontinued, and when I chatted with them they recommended an inline filter be installed to the water line to the freezer. I am hoping they didn't understand the questions and the kit components are included with the freezer by default.

Jacque - it came inside our Electrolux when it was delivered.

No one picks up if i call Frigidaire, so I'm hoping someone here can help. our ice make stopped making ice. did the reset, and i can hear it kick on but nothing comes out. normally with an ice maker there is a metal rod that moves to tell the maker to stop making ice. is there something like this with this unit? There's a little plastic thing at the front that is up all the way but seems to move. Is this a moveable piece that tells the unit to stop producing ice when it reaches a certain level? I don't remember it ever being down though. Maybe the easiest question to ask is does anyone know how the unit determines when to stop producing ice.

Edit - I did speak with someone but they seemed to have no idea what I was asking.

Yes it is, otherwise you can get condensation. Frigidaire will include it but it likely needs to be ordered. call your retailer and ask them to order it.

Got my units 6 mos ago. JUST got a call that the trim kit is FINALLY in. In the 1yr total of waiting, I’ve changed my kitchen design so no construction has started. My fridges slide all over the place…SMH

Anyone have a fridge or freezer door that squeaks/groans during opening or closing? We moved in 1 month ago, and I do have a lot in the fridge door (family of 7), but it has started a squeaking groan as I close it every time. We have appliance repair people coming out for a problem with the trim kit so I will address this also, just want to know if this is a common issue.

dadoes - I don't want to do anything to the fridge before the repair guys come. These are punch list items from my GC and I want him to deal with any repairs so his contracts stay valid. I think it might be that the fridge is tilted forward a bit so the hinge has a bit more downward pressure on the closing swing. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has had the same problem - more data = easier conversation with GC, repair person, supplier - usually.

Hello!! Just wondering if the TTFLTRICEKIT Aka filter kit for the ice machine is necessary/required? Ideally, we’d like to have a filter, but the tap water quality is pretty decent as well and we’d be ok going without.
Has anyone had any luck finding these? After doing a quick google search, all the sites that are selling it seem to be based in Canada. Just wondering if anyone had luck getting them in the states.

@Jacque Yes, I have the same squeaky / creaky door issue on my fridge. We recently had a certified Electrolux / Frigidaire service man out who ordered a new ice maker valve due to a malfunctioning one from the factory. While he was here I mentioned the creaking and he messed around with it for a bit but ultimately said it would be hard to locate where it was coming from and that when he returns we may have to take everything out of the fridge and lay it on its back to find it.

We got our new Frigidaire Twins installed about 3 weeks ago, just a couple days before moving into our new house. Our freezer's ice maker never produced ice. Finally a Frigidaire-certified technician came out yesterday to check. He verified that the ice maker didn't work & found that it had been trying to work, resulting in water overflowing the drip pan & accumulating under the frig & freezer. We had no idea. He also deemed the freezer irrepairabe. A claim was filed with Frigidaire; we should be getting a new freezer. No idea when. Just a heads up -- if you have trouble with the ice maker not working, check underneath to see if you have water puddling on the floor. (Our freezer door also groaned but I had no idea that was a "thing.")

Sorry, I didn't see the replies to the groaning. The repair guys came out and leveled the fridge and freezer better, they were originally leaning forward quite a bit. That fixed the groaning. I had sprayed some Strike Hold on the hinges and it had improved it significantly, and now it is gone completely.

Is anyone bothered by noise from these units?

Just had mine installed last month and they are constantly on. The noise is not loud (I measured it at 40 db 6 ft away) but it is constant and easy to hear even from 40' away. It's from the condenser fan more than the compressor. Figured this out by pulling out the units and assessing the source of the noise. I didn't install the trim kit (it's a retrofit so no space) or the pairing kit on the recommendation of my installer but didn't think this would make much difference. Actually exchanged the units last week thinking they might be defective but the new units are the same.

Just trying to figure out if this is their "normal" functioning. Shouldn't they be quieter at least some of the time? I'm confused because some reviews of these units say they are quiet...I would definitely not agree.

Just a quick update. I fixed the creaking/rattling noises before the repairman returned. It was a simple as adjusting the feet of the fridge. To clarify, these are the metal boxes that are attached to the bottom of the fridge for use when you have the trim kit. They raise the fridge and freezer off the floor by a couple inches. There didn't seem to be tension on one of the threaded rods that you adjust to help with leveling and once I adjusted it slightly, the creaking/rattling went away.

My units run a decent amount but I can't say I notice them. The noise of the compressors is not very loud.

Well, 9 months in and our fridge column has died. Lights are on but no cooling and no water.

So we contacted our appliance guy who was like, "That's REDICULOUS", and he got a swap approved. Had a whole new fridge delivered the next day. And i figured out the problem! Something was wrong with the control panel. THIS TIME it went into Demo Mode. And the manual says NOTHING about demo mode. Once I googled it and figured out how to put it back into normal mode, it started cooling again. Several other times the fridge mysteriously went into Sabbath Mode. Hopefully this new fridge is more reliable.

We’ve had our twins installed since Aug 2021. last week our ice maker stopped producing ice. I can hear it try to pull in water but thats it. Of course the warranty is only a year (which is crazy, really) so I’m hoping this might be something we can fix ourselves.

Don‘t know how to fix it, but you may want to check to see if you’ve got any water puddling under the freezer. When our Twin freezer was delivered the ice maker didn’t work but we could hear water in the line. When technician showed up to evaluate, found a puddle had been on the brand new floor under the freezer for awhile ☹️

An ice maker doesn't pull water in. Water is pushed in through the inlet valve when it opens, via pressure of the supply line ... city mains, private well, whatever is the source.

So I removed the shelf that houses the ice maker, used a small syringe to push a bit of warm water into the hole in the freezer wall where (I assume) the water comes from and where (I assume) it enters the ice maker, and ensured the electrical connections were tight. I basically just fiddled with everything and magically it started making ice again! I can’t pinpoint what the problem actually was but i have ice now so I’m happy!

Morning, had my units for a year now and my fridge door is making some serious rattling noise. Sounds like a car when it’s about to breakdown and happens every so often. When I open the door it stops and I feel the door shaking. Close the door it will start to rattle. I really hope this is a simple fix. Thank you 🙏🏻

My ice maker has been not working for a while, had it replaced under warranty, still not working. Had a repair guy out and they pulled codes off of the freezer and he said there's nothing that can be done to fix it. He suggested turning off the freezer and letting it thaw to see if it would make ice again. Lo and behold, it did, for about a month. Something in the line is freezing and causing it to stop functioning. For sure a faulty design by Frigidaire.

Can you please provide a little more info about what you did to thaw out your line? Maybe a few photos of the exact areas?

Update, we turned down our freezer from 0 to 2*C, and the ice maker started working again.
