Art work advice

I’m looking for a piece of abstract art for the wall behind the sectional. I’m not sure of size and shape. The ceiling is 12 feet and the width of the space for the art is 55 inches.

I’ve found several I like that are in colors that pick up the blues and grays in the rug. Do I need to stay with those colors or can I add some other colors? Thanks.

Definitely don't choose art to match the furnishings. That's an uninspired look if ever there was one. Find a piece that practically sings to you, and delights you each time you lay eyes on it. Please don't settle for anything less than that.
