No. Just make sure it's sparkly clean. I think it's got pizazz and it would not deter me but even if somebody hates it they'll still buy your house and put in what they want -- but they may want some $$ knocked off to reflect that.

I would simply have it steam cleaned so that it shows its “best” side. And leave it. Let the new owner think they have something to “improve!”

Agree with Maureen. I too like it how ever others may want to do something entirely different. Whenever I've moved the only thing I did was freshen the paint and clean, clean, clean. A clean home will sell faster than any perceived up dates you will make. Good luck.

Leave it. My son and his wife bought a home 2 years ago that had larger white and green tiles in the kitchen, dining area, hall and half bath. They painted all the cabinets, tore up the tiles and laid vinyl wood flooring and it is beautiful!

Is the tile vintage? original to the house? does it work w/the rest of the room? does the realtor say it's OK? if you redid the tile, would have to redo other items and would it make a difference in sales price?

The problem is that if you replace it, what would you replace it with? You would just be guessing what a new owner might want. Sell it as is.

Clean the whole house then clean it again that IMO is way better than guessing what anew owner would like .

Totally agree with just cleaning. Buyer(s) will likely change whatever you replace.

No need to change it, but I would get a large "sisal" outdoor rug to put over it so it doesn't scream at the buyers. Target has them at a good price.
